Every November (November 16th – December 16th), WORUDET joins the rest of the world in commemorating the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence. We are convinced that this season is a pivotal time to remind leaders of their commitments towards the protection of women and girls from all forms of violence and thus create more awareness in the mitigation of violence against women and girls. For a country like Uganda, where GBV occurs on an annual basis, we believe that adding our voice is critical.
